There are so many different applications for voiceovers, and when used correctly, a professional voiceover can help increase your customer engagement, promote brand authenticity and even increase your sales. The key is knowing how and where to use a voiceover- and more importantly when to hire a pro! Today I want to talk about explainer videos- you know, the ones where you try and show your customer or potential customer how to use your product or service.
How many of you have seen (or made yourself) one of those very simple videos using slides, maybe you've used Powerpoint or Presenter? It's so easy to communicate your ideas these days using technologies that many of us have access to on our phones. Kind of crazy when you think about it. Those "videos" are a great tool to use when you need to explain something to your customers- ie. how to use your new ap or a feature on your website. Since you're extremely familiar with your product or service you may be able to put together a set of cohesive slides to communicate the lesson visually. Awesome! But, so many of us are not visual learners and have a hard time really engaging with visuals when there's no audio. That's where a voiceover can really help you communicate your message. In that same way, you can record the audio and voice the project yourself. But should you? The answer some of the time is yes! There's a lot to be said for the authenticity that goes along with narrating your own project, after all- who's more passionate about it than you? If you have the time, the equipment and the technical knowledge, that's fantastic. If not, you may want to reach out to a professional voiceover artist. These days, professional voiceover artists like myself, have high quality home studios where your project can be brought to life quickly and sound amazing! We use professional microphones, sound and video editing software, have an extremely quiet space to record and maybe most importantly- have the expertise to voice your project in an engaging and professional manner! Reach out today if you're considering hiring a professional voiceover artist! I may be the right voice for you :) Joanna
